This year, we enjoyed six sessions of live content over three days, plus optional workshops and lectures. Buy an event pass for conversation, laughter, inspiring stories, beautiful quilts, and lots of fun!
The live event has concluded, so you can view the recordings on your own time.
Event Recording Pass includes:
- More than nine hours of live content, including Quilters’ Save Our Stories interviews, panel conversations, literature and poetry readings, and interactive audience Q&A
- Recordings of the entire event to watch (or re-watch!) any time that works for you.
- A chance to win fabric, thread, quilting gear, and more than 40 other door prizes from our amazing sponsors (live event attendees only).
Scholarships are available for the cost of the 3-day Pass. Find more information and apply here.
Group Passes are also available for guilds and quilt shops. Read more about the QTM Group Pass.

Establishing a satisfying creative practice benefits from developing strategies to cope with decision-making, mental blocks, outside criticism, and self-doubt. Through a combination of hands-on exercises, play, (which I think of as “research”) and discussion, we will explore strategies to make the most of creative time and resources. Join me, and take away a few new ideas that will help make what you do not only more fun, but also more meaningful!

Sustaining Creativity through Drawing and Documentation with Susan Shie
Wednesday, September 14 – 1:00 – 3:00 pm Eastern or watch the recording
In the first half of this two-hour demonstration and workshop, Susan will show you her process from sketches to finished pieces and how she documents her work as it emerges. In the last hour, Susan will lead the class in one of the freehand drawing on paper exercises in her Lucky Drawing classes. Students should bring drawing paper, markers and a wide-open mind.“Drawing freehand, letting it flow out of you, is what I teach best, and what most people are terrified to think of doing. But everyone can draw freehand, and their personal style is wonderful, when it’s allowed to flow out naturally! You, as a small child, did it, and now you can do it, but you’ve forgotten how!”
